The Memory Stone is handcrafted from Pyrex glass and mounted in a silver-plated metal setting. It is a contemporary take on the Worry Stone which the ancient Greeks created to comfort & soothe the mind.
• The memory stone has a diameter of 1¼"

• Plated finish may discolor or wear off over time as a result of continual abrasion from keys scratching the metal surface

• A free Collection Kit is provided with every order for the safe & secure return delivery of ashes to Grateful Glass

• All keepsakes include elegant presentation packaging as well as a personalized Certificate of Authenticity

• Because of the handmade nature of our products, some variation in both glass color and dispersion / design of ashes should be expected. For reasons beyond our control, each set of ashes reacts uniquely when mixed with hot glass. As a result, certain sets of ashes may be less visible or show up as a slightly different color compared to our sample images.
Shipping is a 3 step process. 1) After placing your order, a collection kit will be mailed to you. 2) You will then return the collection kit complete with your loved one’s ashes to the Grateful Glass studio. 3) Finally, we handcraft your keepsake to order and ship it to you along with any unused ashes.

Shipping of the collection kit as well as your finished keepsake are included for FREE with every order. The return shipment of the collection kit is not included with your order. We have found for the most secure return possible, the kit must be brought in person to your local Post Office for processing.

Our memorials are sensibly sized so that you can always have your loved one close to your heart.

Although the cremation ashes are clearly visible within each keepsake, only the people you choose to share with will actually know what it is.

A special Christmas present

We said goodbye to 13 yr our black lab Clyde back in November. My husband was incredibly close to him and took it very hard. While speaking with the folks at our local pet passages I noticed her beautiful necklace and that is when she told me about Matt! She set aside a small amount of ashes for me but I still did not know exactly what I wanted. I called Matt and spoke with him live! We decided on a key ring as my husband is not a jewelry kind of guy. It was an incredible experience working with Matt and the key ring came in plenty of time for Christmas! It is beautiful! The packaging itself was impressive but when I opened the box I could not have been more pleased! I would highly recommend working with Matt if you have lost a loved one... his communication and professionalism were above and beyond! I can’t wait to give my husband his present on Christmas.. I know he will treasure it!

Words can't describe how lucky my family was to find Matt and Grateful Glass. His Memory Stone and Pendants helped us process the loss of our family dog Dutch. The craftsmanship and quality in these mementos are really sturdy and well made, I can tell it'll look the same as i first received it and when i look at it 10 years from now. It really is comforting to have these keepsakes with us to take wherever we go and to see the ashes clearly in the glass. A long time coming

I first saw Matt’s website at least a dozen years ago and probably more. I have family members all over the country and as people got older I saw how much it bothered them not to be able to travel and visit their loved ones. It was then that I decided I would be cremated and I want some of my remains to be combined in to an orb. I told my son, I then want him to put two google eyes on the orb and I’m to be kept near his computer or TV so we can continue to enjoy things together. At first he thought this was creepy, but now he appreciates it. Well, fast forward to January 2024 and my dad passed away at 89. He also desired to be cremated so I took some of his ashes and sent them to Matt. What I got back is so beautiful and gives me such comfort when I look at it or hold it. I keep it on my computer desk so it is always near me. I like knowing where my dad is, he is right next to me. Matt was wonderful at walking me through the process and keeping me informed. I couldn’t be happier with him or the product.

Perpetual Pendant in Pure White

I lost my dad just before Christmas. I miss him tremendously, but this beautiful piece brings me comfort. Matt was trustworthy, compassionate, and punctual. He provided an easy-to-use collection kit with clear instructions, and he let me know what to expect. When I received my pendant, I cried. It means a lot to me to be able to literally have my dad close to my heart and to still include him in my life in this way. I’m looking forward to being able to take my dad with me to some of the places he had wanted to see before he died. Reaching up to hold onto this pendant when I’m missing him is a reassuring and grounding sensory experience, too. I ordered the Perpetual Pendant in Pure White. It’s very pretty, and I appreciate that this piece is subtle and something I can easily wear on a regular basis. The similarity in color between my dad’s ashes and the white background allows for maintaining privacy and enables me to be intentional with disclosing the significance of this piece. Delivery was timely, and I felt like my dad’s ashes were treated with respect throughout the process. Thank you, Matt.

My name is Bridget Bogdanich, who along with my husband, John, began our journey to search for the perfect memorial keepsake to bring honor and some closure at the loss of our son two years ago. When I discovered the ethereal beauty of the Grateful Glass products, I knew we had found our answer. The pendants are impeccable and so thoughtfully designed.
