Order Process Details

Select a keepsake, add it to your shopping cart and complete the secure checkout. You will then receive a unique order number that will identify your loved one’s ashes throughout the entire process.

A free Collection Kit will automatically be added to your order and shipped to you

Step 2 - Collection Kit

We will then mail you a Collection Kit for sending to Grateful Glass a small amount of your loved one’s ashes. The kit includes simple instructions and the necessary shipping materials to securely return it to us by USPS Priority Mail Express. As soon as your shipment arrives at our studio, you will be promptly notified.

USPS Priority Mail Express is the safest and only legal method for shipping ashes

Step 3 - Creation

Grateful Glass keepsakes are created by taking a small amount of ashes and encasing them within layers of hot glass. As the cremated remains mix with the heated glass, they become permanently fused and suspended within. The encased cremation ashes create an array of beautiful flecks and organic bubble patterns within the glass.

Because each keepsake is individually handcrafted, no two will ever be identical even if they are made from the same individual’s ashes

Step 4 - Final Shipment

Grateful Glass keepsakes are shipped exclusively through USPS Priority Mail Express. Every keepsake is packaged with the utmost care. All orders include detailed tracking information and will require a signature on delivery. Any unused ashes will always be returned with your finished order.

Typical turnaround time is approximately 4 weeks from the time your collection kit arrives at our studio until the time your finished keepsake ships

Amazingly beautiful piece of art

My necklace is incredibly beautiful. The ashes over the cobalt blue glass looks like a sky full of stars. I could not have asked for more. I love that I will always have a piece of my mom with me all of the time. The packaging was very thoughtful. The collection kit was nice and tactful, and the box that the necklace was sent to me in was very nice, with the remaining ashes tucked inside. Thank you to Matthew for such a special memorial keepsake ❤️
