The Forever Pendant

After my dad’s passing I wanted a pendant with my dad’s remains to keep close to my heart. I started my search on the internet and landed on the website of Grateful Glass. I immediately fell in love with the work of Matthew Olian.

I chose the medium forever pendant and wanted to go with the Amber Purple color. I had some doubts though because of the different possible outcomes with this color and I addressed this in an email with Matt. Promptly he answered me back and attached 20+ pictures of his work with this color in different settings and lighting. And I have to say there was not one example I did not love. So Amber Purple I went with.

When I got my pendant I was in awe. It is gorgeous!
I absolutely love how dynamic the colors are: it changes from a light rose red outlined in silver to a deep blue to a fiery red which scintillates within a purple blue halo, depending on the light. It could not have been a better representation of my dad!

The whole process from start to finish and the communication with Matt is something unique. It instills trust and mutual respect which is pretty hard to find.It is not a mass production. Matt makes the pendant uniquely for you and that shows.

My friends bought this for me. My father passed away suddenly and it's been very hard. This company has been so respectful. I got the collection box which came with a pre-paid shipping label to send it back. They explain it takes 4 to 6 weeks and they send an email confirming the received the ashes and when they are sending the necklace. I got the necklace back and it's beautiful. I can have my dad with me everyday. Not only is the necklace beautiful, but they also sent back the ashes that were not used. Which I'm grateful for. I truly love what they do and how respectful they are.

The piece you created for my mother from my brother's ashes was absolutely beautiful. Each piece looks lovely on the site, but in real life, it really is stunning. Thank you so much.
